June's Winner: Danielle Swift
Danielle wanted a haircut and hair color that would be easy to maintain as well as style. We warmed up her natural color with a light milk chocolate base. Then melted soft beige blondes and warm carmel blondes into the chocolate to compliment. To frame her face and accent her eyes we added bold pale blonde highlights. The result is multidimensional hair color that added interest and contrast to the haircut while giving Danielle color that will be easy to maintain.
We wanted to shorten her haircut to balance her face shape and to accentuate her beautiful eyes. The hair was
then texturized to give volume and softness. This haircut will be easy to style by simply blow drying up at the root and then using a round brush to give bend to the ends.
Danielle was sent home with the Aveda Color Conserve shampoo and conditioner to prevent her color from fading as well as the Aveda Phomollient styling mousse for volume and shine.
For Danielle's makeup we balanced her skin tone and moisturized with the Aveda tinted moisturizer. Then added
color with bronzer and a warm peach blush, perfect for summer. We made her eyes a little more dramatic with a
shimmering shadow and dramatic black liner and mascara. We then finished the look with a soft natural lip gloss.
The look is soft yet sexy!

Hear Danielle's nomination story from her best friend, Michelle
Danielle has been my best friend since 4th grade. She's a wonderful friend and mother. Danielle has always colored her own hair, and the color never holds, leaving her hair more coarse than her thick texture already. I would like to nominate her not just because her hair could use the makeover, but personally life has dealt her many hardships and she deserves something like this.
Her son Jackson has many ailments. He is 19 months old and equivalent to a 6 month old. He does not speak, walk, crawl or feed himself. He had spinal biphida, has a tube wrapped around his intestines and is fed through a plug in his stomach, has had 2 other surgeries and all this under the age of two. At the beginning he was so weak that she feared if he would pull through. He will continue to go through hardship for at least the next few years as he's trying to catch up for his age. She devotes her life to her children and even cares for other children.
I'd love her to experience something that would make her feel so good about herself!
